After living in California and Miami, Scrantz returned to Louisiana where he continues to work as a feature writer. He has optioned three screenplays, won the Silver Award at WorldFest Houston for MARIE LAVEAU in 1995, was a Nicholl Fellowship Quarter-Finalist with ANGEL HILL, and has had several scripts featured in the Top 3 on Coppola's American Zoetrope website.
